Theatrical-quality Victorian day dresses, modeled after the high-fashion high-collar day dress aesthetics of the mid-1890s Gilded Era. This particular historical silhouette is famous for its extreme upper-body proportions, balancing structural bodices with highly dramatic, volumized mutton-style sleeves and structured smocking.
Includes: Stunning Gown constructed out of a crisp, dual-tone (plain and smocked) shimmering taffeta fabric. It features a highly textured intricately tucked, button-down front high neckline bodice flanked by heavily smocked panels along the shoulders and chest. The dramatic "leg-of-mutton" (gigot) sleeves are dense with smocked clustering at the shoulders before tapering down the arm. The matching floor-length skirt is pleated. 2 Pieces.
