A chain of office, or collar of estate, worn as the badge of an office, or as the insignia of a fraternal association. This chain of office is made from metal plates, bearing a filgree design, set with assorted color glass gems. The pendant is an ornate renaissance cross set with glass gems to simulate rubies. Circa middle ages to the present day.
